Snow Plowing, Jan. 2024

Here are some photos from January 16, 2024 showing roads in Winchester that have been cleared despite vehicles parked on them. Notice that there is plenty of room between the plowed section and the parked vehicles. These images are taken from the “Part 1 video.”

Snow on Dec 5, 2024

December 5 was the first snow event of the 2024-2025 winter season. The snow was not a surprise; it was forecast a week in advance. Despite this fact, 508 vehicles were documented parked overnight on the streets (see map).

The photo below was taken in “the flats.” It doesn’t appear that the residents in the area lack off-street parking for their vehicles. However, the roads in this section of town are wide and easily navigable despite vehicles parked on both sides of the street.

This is a road off of Washington St. The roads are narrower than the flats, but there is still plenty of room for a sanding truck or plow to pass through.

Below is a photo of Forest St. (a thru road) with vehicles parked on both sides. The vehicle approaching is a sanding truck.
