UPDATE: Pilot Program Implemented
On February 23rd, 2026, the Select Board implemented a pilot program for overnight parking in Winchester.
The Petition’s Goals:
- Allow overnight parking when there is no snow
- Increase compliance with snow emergency parking bans

The biggest argument against overnight parking is that the streets must be clear in the winter for snow removal. But – as other communities have proven – it’s possible to have both.
